Fall 1999 to Fall 2000: Project Leader in Architectural Coatings. Responsible for four projects and their accompanying multifunctional teams. January 2000 to March 2000: Internship with The Martec Group, Southfield, Mich. This was a sabbatical to learn market research techniques. Project work included assessment of merger and acquisition candidates, market share evaluation, and market size assessment studies for several non-chemical companies. 1999: Technical Manager in Building Products. Responsible for functional excellence, professional career development of technical staff in department, and performance management systems across Building Products Applications research. I was both a member of and eventually the team leader of the Roofing Siding and Cement Market Segment Team (MST), this team was responsible for developing global strategies to grow our Roof-Tile and Cement Modifier business. 1997 to Spring 1999: Research Section Manger, Applications Research and Technical Service for the Industrial Coatings business which evolved into the Building Products business. Project responsibilities were for Wood Coatings, Roofing, Siding and Cement (RS+C), and Floor Polishes. 1992 through 1996: Research Section Manager, P+R Synthesis. Group responsible for Industrial Coatings support (included Metal, Traffic Paint , Wood, RS+C, Arts and Hobby, and GIF) as well as, Rheology Modifiers.
